Dog License Information All dogs in the Town of Corinth must be licensed with the Town Clerk by the age of four months.
The Town Clerk is located at 600 Palmer Ave, Corinth, New York, 12822
In order to obtain a license, the dog owner must present a certificate from a licensed veterinarian showing that the dog has been vaccinated to prevent rabies, or a statement certified by a licensed veterinarian stating that, because of old age or other reason, the life of the dog would be endangered by the administration of rabies vaccine.
All dog licenses will be valid for a period of one year and will expire on the last day of the month one year from the date of issue.
The fee will be $6 for a spayed or neutered dog and $14 for an unspayed or unneutered dog. Such license fees include the assessment of a $1 surcharge for altered dogs and $3 for unaltered dogs for the New York State Animal Population Control Program, or any county-wide program as may be implemented.
A spay or neuter certificate will reduce the fee.
A silver tag with an identification number will be issued at the time of licensing. This tag as well as the rabies tag must be worn on your dog's collar at all times. It’s also recommended that an additional ID tag with a phone number be worn for easy identification should your animal be lost.
Nuisance Wildlife Removal The Town of Corinth does not remove wildlife and does not recommend any person, service or business. The hiring of any person, service or business is at the homeowner's expense. Certain circumstances allow us to handle possible rabid animals. Please call if you have any questions.
Due to State Rules & Regulations the Dog Control Officer does not handle cats.
