This is our purpose- An elected Board governs the Town of Corinth. The Town Board is its overall executive, administrative and legislative body. The Town Board consists of five council members. Its presiding Councilor is the Town Supervisor. Councilors serve a four-year term. A Town Supervisor serves a four-year term.
The Town Board, as a whole, is responsible for the general management of the Town of Corinth and the proper use of its finances. To achieve this goal, Town Board must raise enough funds to cover the day-to-day needs. The Councilors must also allocate funds appropriately.
The Board, through its resolutions, makes policies for the Town. The Councilors also appoint community members to any additional Boards and Committees for the town. The Board is also responsible for creating the annual budget and making recommendations for fiscal improvements.
The Town Supervisor sees to the day-to-day administrative duties at Town Hall.
